Request a Mass

In the Catholic tradition, requesting that a Mass be offered for a particular person or intention is a longstanding and meaningful act of faith. The Holy Mass is the central act of worship in the life of the Church, in which the saving sacrifice of Christ is made present. To have a Mass offered for someone is to entrust them in a special way to God’s love and mercy through prayer.
Mass intentions are often requested for those who have died, asking that they may rest in peace and share in the fullness of eternal life. They may also be offered for the living - for those who are sick, facing difficulties, or celebrating significant moments such as anniversaries and birthdays. In every case, the intention is united with the prayers of the Church and offered at the altar.
This tradition reflects the deep communion that exists between all members of the Church, both living and departed. By offering a Mass for someone, the faithful express care, remembrance, and hope, placing their intentions into the heart of the Church’s prayer.
